LIFE THROUGH THE LENS
In 2012 we ran the first regional photographic competition to promote wellbeing in communities across the North West of England using the Five Ways to Wellbeing as a framework. Over 1300 photographs were entered from people across the NW. Wellbeing calendar developed and printed. Competition judged by 5 professional international photographers. Winners photographs were displayed at community art cafe and gallery.
NW HEALTHY WORKFORCE COLLABORATIVE
80% of staff interviewed as part of Boorman said their own health and well being had a direct impact on patient care. This programme is designed to deliver transformational change. Using 5 Ways to well-being as the framework and Large Scale Change (LSC) (see Plesek et al An introduction to the theory and practice of LSC and its relevance to the NHS) as the methodology we’re delivering a 9 month programme to 35 NHS Health and wellbeing leads to deliver transformation change in NHS Staff health and well being and ultimately improve patient care and experience. This is collabortion with Good Squared CIC, commissioned by NW HEE.

NHS SPORT AND HEALTH LEGACY PROGRAMME
MSH Partnership successfully delivered the above programme.
The programme launched in 2010 to use inspirational power of London 2012 to improve NHS Staff Health and well being using sport/physical activity is one of the largest workplace activity programmes of its kind.
To date over 450,000 NHS staff have participated. Over 250 NHS organisations involved. NHS organisations reporting improved morale, reduced costs and staff sickness absence. 83% of staff felt there are benefits to their health and well being; 70% have taken up more exercise since taking part. Full evaluation on request.
